Mauritius is officially Republic of Mauritius, it is an island nation in southwest Indian Ocean, off coast of African continent, it is about 900 kilometers to east of the Madagascar. Country has numerous islands St. Brandon, Agalega and Rodrigues. Itself, Mauritius is part of Mascarene Islands with French islands of the Reunion that is 200 km to southwest and island of the Rodrigues about 570 km to northeast. Mauritius island is renowned for having popularity as known home of dodo. Mauritius government is elected for five years, historically; these elections have tended to be contest between major coalitions of the parties.
