Port Louis

It is capital of Mauritius and largest city of main port and country, it borders with Indian Ocean.
 

City is located in Port Louis District having population of 147,688 (census result in 2003). It was founded by French around 1735 as revictualling half for the ships traveling around Cape of Good Hope; it was built by the skilled Tamilians from Indian around 1728. Port is name in the honor of King Louis. First governor was Count Bertrand. Theater of Port in early 1950s has conserved many colonial and historical buildings throughout the years. Fort Adelaide is one of fortification name among these buildings.

 

Vacoas-Phoenix

It is one of five main towns in country and largest town of country, Vacoas has fifth largest inhabitants number, Vacoas is largest municipality, in geographical terms, town lies between Quatre Bornes and Curepipe in western highlands region of country. It was proclaimed as town in 1963 at time was joined with the Phoenix; it was raised in 1968 to status of municipality. A joint population of town is 103,564 according to 2003 census. Vacoas mainly act as moving town with the developments and enterprise take and on other side Phoenix is said to be her sister. Boundary between Vaoas and Phoenix is Riviere Seche, though sources consider as Laval as actual boundary.

It is a lovely resort that reveals unspoilt and authentic Mauritius; it is convenient for peaceful stay and is unforgettable souvenirs.
